Have you ever considered what is the best approach to file-based protection? Is it an endpoint protection or even some sandbox solution, or both solutions have their own caveats? Glasswall takes a different point of view and uses CDR (Content Disarm and Reconstruction) technology which instantly cleans and rebuilds files to match their known good manufacturer’s standard, in other words, automatically remove known and unknown threats. According to Gartner two main benefits from CDR technology are:

  • It ‘significantly reduces the risk of malicious content entering an organization, for example, via email, by removing active content such as macros, which is one of the most common infection vectors and hard to deal with in other ways.’
  • It is ‘much faster than sandboxing, and therefore makes a good complementary solution.’

We’ll look at how to take preventive action to intercept and disarm files before they reach your system.
